Apply paragraph styles instead of formatting each passage separately
Google’s help page recommends styles for a consistent appearance. Select a paragraph or several paragraphs and choose the appropriate style from the toolbar or Format menu. Alignment and line spacing have their own controls, including single, double, and custom spacing. Use those settings to establish a deliberate rhythm between paragraphs rather than relying on manually inserted blank lines that need repeated correction.
Use page-aware controls when headings become separated
Keep with next helps a heading remain with the following text. Keep lines together keeps a paragraph on one page, while Prevent single lines addresses isolated lines at page boundaries. Google notes that these controls require Pages format and are unavailable in Pageless. Confirm the format before looking for them. Review the document after applying spacing and pagination settings so that the appearance remains readable and the heading hierarchy is still clear.
